Hierarchical hybrid networks using WDM and OTDM

摘要

Hierarchical Hybrid Networks using WDM and OTDM are proposed as future Core Networks. An automatic equalizer at each low-level node equalizes signals of OTDM with tera-bits rate. This OTDM is terminated at high-level nodes, which are separated not farther than 500km. Express traffic is cut through the low-level nodes with guarantee for error-free transmission by parity check logical circuits. A novel PMD equalizer is proposed and demonstrated partially and functionally, which is applicable to terabits rate because of QPM-SHG control signals.
