摘要

Computer systems used for processing operations by small to medium-scale enterprises have conventionally centered around the office computer. Due to the improved performance and reliability of personal computers in recent years, however, togetherwith the lowering of prices and the rapid development of network infrastructure, the usage of PCs has changed from primarily individual users to whole companies, including small to medium-scale enterprises.In response to the changing information system requirements of medium-scale enterprises, Toshiba has developed and commercialized the Soludina{sub}TM sales management system. Soludina{sub}TM is offered not as a software package following the conventionalapproach, but as a client-server system in order to fully meet the needs of users.
