New SX bus system and connected peripheral equipment

摘要

The SX bus, Fuji Electric's original bus system, has conventional internal-bus and fieldbus functions. It is a serial bus with transmission speed of 25 Mb/s and transmission distance of 25 m that can with a single cable connect digital and analog I/Os distributed in the two or more processors and machines as well as intelligent devices such as programmable operation displays and servos. This paper introduces a newly developed SX-bus optical converter capable of extending the maximum transmission distance up to 1 km between stations or 32 km in total length as well as peripheral equipment that utilizes the high-speed transmission performance and various communicating functions of the SX bus.
