摘要

High pressure compressors in the nextgeneration of supersonic aircraft engines should havehigher efficiency level under high loaded conditionsince engine weight and fuel consumption are requiredto be low. To achieve these requirements, research hasbeen conducted under the HYPR project. Three-dimensional airfoil design techniques using 3D-viscousanalysis such as the scallop tip trench for rotor blades,secondary flow control for stator vanes and radialloading distribution optimization to improve matchingof middle to rear stages were investigated and thesenew design techniques were applied to a five-stageaxial-flow compressor design. Rig tests were conductedand target efficiency of 91% was achieved. This paperbriefly describes these new design techniques.
