Ignition temperatures of paraffins structured eight(8) carbons in high pressure differential scanning calorimeter was investigated in condistions of various heating rate and pressure, to evaluate their spontaneous ignition properties. Activation energy of n-paraffin did not change by heating rate, but as for branched paraffins, except isooctane, activation energy greatly changed and changes in regime of reaction mechanism was outlined. In the simulation of reaction mechanism by calculation, ignition of n-heptane was dominated by isomerization and reactions that followed. As for n-paraffins, ignifion temperature was not affected by changes in pressure. Observing branched paraffins, ignition temperature dropped in reduced pressure in the lower temperature reaction regime.
