Wear Resistant Coating KENI COAT (Kobe Excellent New Ideal Coat)

摘要

Development background, properties and practicalapplications of wear resistant coating, KENI COAT (KobeExcellent New Ideal Coat) developed by KOBE STEEL wereexplained. KENI COAT significantly improves both slidingwear resistance and rolling wear resistance of titanium. This isthought to be attributed to good combination of film properties,namely, hardness, adhesion and toughness. KENI COAT isexpected to be useful for extending titanium applications.
