摘要

This paper describes dielectric evaluations about defects on interface of XLPE cable joint. Three dimensional electric field analyses are applied in the issue. The defects are represented by a spherical air void and metallic and air lengthy rods on the interface with around 13 degree between EPR (Ethylene-propylene rubber) and XLPE (Cross-linked polyethylene). The electric field intensities of various parameters on the issues are systematized by graph formats within very low analytical errors in the study. The Paschen's law is applied in dielectric evaluation of air voids in 6.6 kV XLPE cable joint as an application example of the study.
