Performance analysis of a statistical multiplexer with SDH interface in ATM network

摘要

Statistical Multiplexers with SDH interfaces in ATM networks should be modeled as queueing systems with regular preemption's. Here, overhead services of SDH frames preempt cells' services. We propose and analyze a new model with Markov renewal services which appropriately represents the regular preemption behavior. Moreover, we discuss the relationship between the preemptive intervals and congestion's by several numerical examples.
