Utilization of Geological Map of Japan 1:1000,000 3rd Edition CD-ROM version with scientific visualization software-customization of IRIS Explorer modules for importing geological data and topographical data.

摘要

Software "ReadGSJmap100C" was written forreading geology and fault data in Mesh map database ofGeological Map of Japan 1:1,000,000 3rd Edition, CD-ROMVersion. With this software, we can draw three dimensionalgeological map, using commercial scientific visualizationsoftware IRIS Explorer. As topographical data, mash data CD-ROM version were used, and a software was also written forreading these topographical CD-ROM data. Using the graphicaluser interface, these softwares work as modules in cooperationwith bundled modules of IRIS Explorer, and enable us not onlyto present three dimensional image of topography and geology,but also to overlay the other earth science data on them.
