Successful Implementation of the Process of 3D Laser Scanning of the Terrain and Engineering Facilities in Russia

The article reviews the results of the seminar Laser Scanning - the Technology of the 21st Century held by NPP Geokosmos with the baking of the Federal Mining and Industrial Inspection (Gosgortekhnadzor) of Russia and GIS (Geographical Information System) Association. There is a description of the 3D laser scanner RIEGL LMS-Z 210 and of the experience in its application in Russia in the field of civil engineering and at the facilities of Gazprom.
