Development of forced air cooling type 27V 100A & 48V50A single-phase small and light, high power factor switching power supply unit

We have developed a small and light power supply unit (27V-100A, 48V-50A) to meet the world demand for a miniaturized power supply unit in telecommunication use for controlling the cost of the installation place. Reduction in volume and mass by about 50% from the previous model was possible by using a high density mounting method and a new compulsion forced air cooling technology. This paper shows the circuit configuration and experimental test results of the developed Power Supply Unit.
