The first Cera Rica beeswax global contest: for the development of the world's beekeeping toward the 21st century

In a global beeswax contest, 16 samples of raw beeswax were collected from 14 countries. Large variations were found in these samples in terms of acid value, saponification value, de-colouring, colour stability and AOM tests, which are factors influencing the industrial uses of beeswax. These results highlight the need for a standard for raw beeswax.
