Vicia multicaulis s. l. (Fabaceae) in the Urals

Vicia aggr. multicaulis complex is represented in the Urals by 2 species: a South Siberian tetraploid (2n=24) V. nervata and a new endemic species V. uralensis sp. nov. The former is reported for the first time for the flora of the Urals and Europeon the whole, known from 2 localities at the eastern slope of the South Urals. The latter is a diploid (2n=12), grows on calcareous rocks along rivers in the North and Middle Urals and is more closely related to V. multicaulis s. str. from South Siberianhighland steppes.
