摘要

Field trials carried out between 1979 and 1990 on an irrigated clay loam light-chestnut soil in the Trans-Volga region south-east of Saratov, Russia are reported. Effects of increasing applications of N fertilizers on crop yields of spring barley, lucerne [Medicago sativa], spring and winter wheat, maize and Bromus inermis were investigated for 2 different crop sequences, with 33% of the first and second crop sequence respectively consisting of lucerne and B. inermis. Substitution of lucerne by B.inermis reduced productivity of the second rotation by 32-43% as compared with the first.
