The use of transverse cervical artery and cephalic vein A-V loop as alternative recipient vessels in free flap breast reconstruction

We describe a case of autologous breast reconstruction with free SGAP flap using recipientTCA and CV as an A-V loop. The benefits of this technique include: dissecting recipient vessels outside of the hostile environment of irradiated and scarred chest, length of pedicle, and single venous anastomosis. The TCA has not previously been described as a recipient vessel in breast reconstruction and presents a viable alternative in cases where traditional recipient sites are not available.
