Interconnected fluidized bed reactors (DCFB) are implemented in multi-generation systems (pyrolysis FB reactor and semicoke CFB boiler), CLC systems (double metal oxides or carbonate oxides reactors) and three reactors chemical looping gasification processes. The hydrodynamics of interconnected reactor systems and loop seal (standpipe and non-mechanical valves) are very important for proper operation of these systems. The objectives of the study are theoretical analysis and experimental investigations for prediction of most important DCFB hydrodynamics parameters. The presented data focus on the solids circulation rate, standpipe and loop seal behavior, pressure profiles of the DCFB depending on selected operating parameters such as fluidization gas flow rate, loop seal fluidization and solids inventory. Most works were devoted to standpipe and valve operation behavior. Experiments were carried out in DCFB cold mode (CFB reactor 5.4m high, 300*200mm cross-section, FB reactor 2.2m high, 400*400mm cross-section). The solid particles used in the study were sand (Sauter diameter 0.22 and 0.17mm, density 2550-2620kg/m~3).
