Chumy Chumez - Two Pictorial Tile Works in Madrid

Two little-known tile installations, created in Spain half a century ago, offer much of interest relating to 20th Century architectural ceramic art. Easily accessible in an historic precinct of central Madrid, these two works, a mural and a large panel, are the creations of Chumy Chumez (1927-2003), widely known in Spain for many years as a newspaper cartoonist, author, radio panelist, filmmaker, and scriptwriter, but not as a tile designer.
