摘要

We studied the effects of surface passivation on the growth of CdSe quantum dots (QDs). In ad-dition, we fabricated QD thin films and light-emitting diodes (LEDs). A chemical colloidal methodwas used to grow CdSe QDs and their characteristics were evaluated by using a photoluminescence(PL) measurement. An effective surface passivation of mono-disperse CdSe QDs was achieved byovercoating them with ZnS. Layer-by-layer assembly was used to fabricate QD thin films withmolecular order and stability. The PL spectra of the QD thin films indicate that the QDs weresuccessfully assembled into thin film. Finally, we obtained electroluminescence images from theactive layer of the QD-LED as a function of the injection current.
