摘要

In this work the performance characteristics of the weld ability by the hardness, microstructure and tensile strength are evaluated. The tensile strength is carried out by varying speed of tool, feed and same depth of weld. Aluminum alloy plates 7075 and 8011 with 4 mm thicknesses were performed. The weld can be performed with the tool under a speed range of 750 to 1200 rpm and a pass through speed of 40 mm/min. With a rotational speed of 750, 1000 and 1200 rpm defect free weld is produced. VMC was used to conduct experiments for joining of dissimilar aluminum alloy and the tensile strength was also calculated. For welding AA7075 & AA8011 best process parameter is identified based on weld strength.
