摘要

A design process based on the theory of inventive problem solving, better known as TRIZ, is proposed to improve the deficiency of less theory and technological guidance in equipment development. We described illustrations by innovating a water tribology thrust bearing of submersible pump. Designers are guided to apply TRIZ methodologies to come up with innovative designs utilizing function analysis, 48 engineering parameters, contradiction matrix 2003, and 40 inventive principles for solving design problems. The thrust bearing was designed with high bearing capacity, high reliability and easy disassembly& maintenance based on the optimal innovation design. Furthermore, a new thrust bearing was authorised utility model and it was successfully applied to design the high power submersible electric motor.
