Letter: Transjugular intrahepatic portosystemic shunt for the treatment of Budd-Chiari syndrome in China

Sirs, A single-centre retrospective study by Tripathi et al. further confirmed an excellent outcome of transjugular intrahepatic portosystemic shunt (TIPSS) for the treatment of Budd-Chiari syndrome (BCS). Notably, the cases enrolled into this study appeared to be a subgroup of data from a European multi-centre study, and an extended group of data from a previous study by the same study team. Thus, the conclusions of this study were very similar to those of previous studies, such as shunt patency and survival.
