Forms and Q/I Relationship of K in an Inceptisol as Influenced by Potassium Application to Pearl Millet

A field experiment was conducted in Sawargoan soil series(Vertic Ustropepts)to study the changes in forms and Q/I relationship due to application of increasing levels of potash(0,10,20,30 and 40 kg K_2O ha~(-1))to pearl millet with a constant rate of 60 kg N and 30 kg P_2O_5 ha~(-1).Potash application increased yield and K uptake by pearl millet.Water soluble,exchangeable,non-exchangeable and total K in soil as well as AR_e~k,K_L,K_0,K_X K_P and AG values were found to be increased while a decreasing trend of PBC~k values observed.A significant relationships existed between forms of K and Q/I parameters of K in soil showing a dynamic equilibrium between them.
