Film blends of metallocene-catalyzed linear low-density poly-ethylenes(mLLDPEs)with conventional linear low-density polyethylene(LLDPE)- with both LLDPEs being made using hexene comonomer - were prepared and investigated.The addition of mLLDPE to conventional LLDPE significantly improves the dart impact strength but has little effect on the overall clarity of the resulting films.Conversely,the addition of a small amount of LLDPE to mLLDPE improves the optical properties of the latter.
