Mega Corpus Callosum in a Patient with Macrocephaly and Focal Motor Delay

An enlarged corpus callosum is a rare entity, with extremely low rates documented in literature. When paired with macrocephaiy, only a handful of cases without any other underlying systemic condition are known to exist. We present a novel case of a macrocephalic patient with magnetic resonance imaging findings of an enlarged (or mega) corpus callosum. Neurologic exam demonstrated right lower extremity hyper-tonicity without any other developmental disorder. It is important to be aware of an enlarged corpus callosum as it may be associated with an underlying motor disorder.
