摘要

The stability of two rigid articulated pipes conveying fluid is considered. The velocity of fluid motion is harmonic. Parametric resonance for the second mode and 3:1 internal resonance in the presence of self-excited are considered. The method of multiple time scales has been applied for analysis. The effects of initial velocity u(0), ratio fluid mass per total fluid mass and pipes mass gamma and flow frequency beta on the frequency response for steady state and stability analyses are studied. Some comparative studies on the stability region of system are conducted with the results available in the open literature.
