Lekoil prepares next Nigerian phase with extra funding

Lekoil will start the new phase of its Otakikpo development in Nigeria early next year and has received a new funding boost. The UK listed minnow is the technical partner in Green Energy International's Otakikpo field in OML 11 in coastal swamp in the southeast of the Niger Delta. This first stage includes re-entering two wells drilled by Shell in the 1980s, the installation of an early production facility and export via shuttle tanker.
