New Species of the Toad Plunderfish of the 'Albipinna' Group, Genus Pogonophryne (Artedidraconidae) from the Ross Sea (Antarctica)

A new species Pogonophryne pallida sp. n. belonging to the albipinna group ofspecies is described. The holotype of the new species that was caught in the Ross Sea at a depth of 1331 — 1505 m is distinguished from the other species of the group by itsstructure of the mental barbel, body proportions, and coloration. A key has been compiled for the species of the albipinna group.
