摘要

Tullow Oil is hoping to.lift the oil reserves figures after successful new drilling in the South Lokichar Basin in Kenya. Total recoverable reserves are currently put at 600m bbl but Tullow believes this could be raised following an appraisal well on Ekales-2 which encountered up to 328ft (100m) of net pay in the primary shallow objectives. It also encountered 164ft (50m) of oil bearing sands in deeper sandstones but conditions precluded logging and any confirmation of oil pay.
