Pillar Oil is to drill a new exploration well next month to try and increase production from a block onshore Nigeria. The company is operator of OPL 283 in the northern Niger Delta, which has Seplat as a technical partner, and it will drill the Anagba-1 well around mid-year. The structure straddles Eni's neighbouring OML 60, where it is in production.
