VAALCO mulls MOPU for Gabon sweetener... and gets Equatorial Guinea EPSO boost

VAALCO expects to make a decision on the development concept for its revised Central Crude Sweetening Project off Gabon as early as the end of this year with a mobile offshore production unit (MOPU) in the running. The company became concerned about costs earlier this year and cancelled the front end engineering and detailed design that Mustang had started to perform for a US $250m platform to counteract the production of H2S on the Etame Marin block.
