Chevron seeds out Nigerian Sonam enquiry

Chevron has sent out an enquiry relating to its shallow water Sonam gas field off Nigeria. The US major made a final investment decision on the field back in 2012 but is now looking for interest in the installation and hook-up of the US $900m platform which was awarded to Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI) in unusually quiet circumstances. The two companies were in unilateral discussions for the platform development of the shallow water gas field for around three years.
