After years of failed negotiations Ghana has filed a U.N. arbitration suit in order to try and resolve the maritime border dispute with Cote d'lvoire which involves many of the most successful blocks in the region. Back in 2010 Cote d'lvoire drew up a new map of its offshore including four new blocks in its east overlapping acreage licensed by Ghana to firms including Tullow and Hess containing a series of major finds.
