Involvement of experienced operating, maintenance, engineering, legal and utilities personnel throughout the reline project.5. Strict control of reline scope to ensure minimal cost-related changes.6. Positive synergy developed through a cooperative and focused effort by the reline team, contractor (KM/KJ), and Stelco divisional and works management groups.Significant technology and equipment enhancements reflect Stelco's commitment to upgrade its facilities to world class standards. Facility and technological upgrades will increase furnace life beyond previous record campaigns.The E furnace facility, with capital upgrades, is now in a position to fulfill Stelco's strategic plan to enhance operating performance by increasing productivity, improving quality and lowering costs.
