摘要

The work intends to develop an enhanced transportation system for security in school bus since safer transportation of children to the school by school bus is having its alarm in the progression of the current crime rate. The proposed system monitors the children entry into the bus and exit from the bus using Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) and send SMS through Global System for Mobile Communications (GSM) technologies. The system recommends a yet another solution of safety by incorporating Global Positioning System (GPS) which assists parents to know their children location in real time by a cost effective way. After the successful bus journey from the home to school, an SMS will be sent to the parent to inform their safe arrival to the school. To validate the proposed system, a prototype model was built up. The potential system performance ensures safer transportation of children to the school.
