Efficient Admission Control Mechanism for Multiple Traffic Flows in Mobile Ad Hoc Network

MANET is a highly mobile and autonomous network. The topology of the network keeps changing constantly and hence the traffic flow in to and out of the network keeps varying. Hence, controlling the admissions into the network would optimize the traffic in the network, when performedby considering the bandwidth required for data transmission, as the deciding criteria. Thus, avoiding traffic delay and collisions in the network, and making the network more efficient. In this paper, we develop an admission control mechanism for multiple flow of traffic by considering everysession’s capacity requirement. To perform implicit admission control by the previous hop nodes, a mobility aware node selection algorithm is applied. In this algorithm, forwarder-node is selected based on the connectivity, current load and distance, which performs explicit admissioncontrol. By simulation results, we show that the proposed technique enhances the delivery ratio. With this knowledge, admission control and bandwidth reservation is done for discovering an effective route.
