摘要

This paper focuses on a regenerative braking of a dual energy storage system with two energy storage devices: battery and ultra capacitor for electric vehicles (EVs). In this paper, through the analysis of regenerative braking principle of permanent magnet DC motor, and mathematicalmodel of regenerative braking system, a simple regenerative braking current control strategy is proposed. Based on the current control strategy, simulation in MATLAB environment and tests are accomplished. The result shows that the proposed control strategy has not only excellent current controlperformance, but also make significant energy saving possible.
