Tullow is asking Kosmos Energy to rethink its strategy for the development of the Mahogany/Teak/Akasa (MTA) project off Ghana before submitting a plan in the middle of this year. The US firm is operator of the West Cape Three Points block which hosts the discoveries and it has gradually been concluding that the project will be a tie-back to Tullow's nearby Jubilee facilities rather than the once touted separate FPSO.
