Study on the Damage Model of Stinger PDC Cutters Breaking Rock

摘要

For the study of stinger PDC cutters breaking rock mechanism with front rake angle, stinger PDC cutters rock breaking process were simulated based on explicit dynamic software ls-dyna. The rocks were divided by quadrilateral mesh, and the continuous model of the cap was applied in the process simulation. Simulation results obtained crack forms in the breaking rock process, and cuttings eventually were separated. Rock breaking mechanism with front rake angle was revealed through the analysis of crack form and the stress state before the rock breaking.
