Correction of Bimaxillary Protrusion after Extraction of Hopeless Mandibular Posterior Teeth and Molar Protraction

Bimaxillary dentoalveolar protrusion involves proclined and protrusive incisors, a vertical facial pattern, procumbent lips, an acute nasolabial angle, and thin and elongated anterior alveoli. Extraction of the four first premolars is usually necessary in patients with a combination of facial convexity, lip protrusion, and crowding, followed by retraction of the anterior teeth using maximum anchorage.
