In Norway, Europe's electric car bastion, Volkswagen's all-electric e-Golf is continuing to steal sales from Nissan's far longer established LEAF. This trend, already spotted since the beginning of this year, has continued to run into July, crowning VW's battery-powered Golf as Norway's fastest selling electric car for the month and the year to date. In Western Europe, where only Norway - situated on the northern fringe of the region - has consistently produced any halfway decent electric car sales, thanks to sky-high government incentives that remain unmatched anywhere else, one newcomer in particular is beginning to make waves. That's the good news. The not so good news is the hot consumer reception in Norway is not echoed anywhere else in the region.
