CELSA GROUP STARTS CONSTRUCTION OF LONGS-ROLLING MILL IN FRANCE

The French division of Spain’s Celsa Group has started construction of a longs-rolling mill at Acierie de l’Atlantique, located at the border of the communes of Tarnos and Boucau, according to the company’s press release. The EUR 60 million project will allow the company to integrate production at the plant, equipped with a 1 million tpy steel meltshop for billets. Along with that, it will be possible to enhance the competitiveness, add flexibility to its operations, ensure stability to volatile market conditions and improve the logistics. As a result, Celsa Group plans to expand its capabilities to enter the markets of France and Benelux.
