FUZHOU WUHANG STEEL TO MODERNIZE REBAR MILL

China’s Fuzhou Wuhang Steel has awarded SMS Group with an order to modernize its rebar mill with TMbaR technology aimed at thermo-mechanically treated rebar manufacturing, Metal Expert learnt from the supplier’s press release. The new 700,000 tpy unit will be connected to the existing rebar mill at the plant in the Changle District, Fujian province. It will facilitate the production of 10-18 mm rebar and 14-20 mm round bar at a maximum speed of 45 m/sec. The commissioning is scheduled for mid-2019.
