SURVEILLANCE AND ECO-FRIENDLY MANAGEMENT OF NEW INVASIVE ALIEN PEST, RUGOSE SPIRALLING WHITEFLY, ALEURODICUS RUGIOPERCULATUS MARTIN: INHERENT MENACE*

摘要

Rugose spiralling whitefly (RSW), Aleurodicus rugioperculatus Martin has become the polyphagous pest and causing unswerving losses to agriculture. Currently, the new invasive pest, become a serious pest in Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Kerala. However, this notorious pest on coconut was first time reported in Andhra Pradesh during the December, 2016. Since, RSW has recently invaded, surveillance, natural enemy complex and eco pest management practices are the need to study carefully to know the menace of RSW. Hence, surveillance, intensity and infestation levels, Host range, natural enemy complex and eco pest management practices is discussed.
