The collapse in jet fuel demand from the Covid-19 pandemic hit hard in March, when global liftings plunged by 28% to 2.57 million b/d. South Korea’s 58% drop outstripped the declines seen in other developing countries as the disease spread quickly out of China. Brazilian jet fuel sales fell by 29%, while demand in India and Mexico shrank by a quarter versus year-earlier rates.
