I'm usually not very easily excited, but I am now! For a long time I've been looking for a 3D solid modeling program that I could justify, both in terms of financial outlay and time invested. There are quite a few free (in every sense of the word) alternatives but none have yet convinced me enough to invest the time it takes to become proficient. Indeed, I consider the investment in learning much more important than the actual price of the software.
