Building Gizmo: A 3-Axis CNC Router - Part Three

This is an area where my design goal for accuracy became important. The five weldments that make up the base of the CNC router naturally have distortion from the raw material 1 used and from the welding. The assembly design allows for +/- 1/8" of adjustment to align the weldments, but I could not adjust out the distortion in the weldments between connection points. Dealing with the distortion between connection points requires a tradeoff between accuracy and cost.
