Systematic Notes on the basalts and trispinosa Species Groups of the Genus Nomada (Hymenoptera, Apidae) in Japan

The two species groups of the genus Nomada in Japan are revised. In the basalis group, two species are recognized, i.e., Nomada japonica SMITH and N. amamiensis HIRASHIMA, the latter being transferred from the ruficornis group to this group. In the trispinosa group, one species, N. nipponica YASUMAISU and HIRASHIMA, is recognized. Nomada babai TSUNEKI is synonymized with N. nipponica. Detailed illustrations of male terminalia are provided for N. amamiensis and N. nipponica. A key to the Japanese species of the basalts species group Us provided.
