Redescription of Isocymatodera atricolor (Pic, 1935) (Cleridae: Tillinae) with New Records

Leclotype and paralectotypes of Strotocera atricolor Pic, 1935 are designated. Isocymatodera atricolor (Pic, 1935) is redescribed, and newly recorded from China, Thailand, and India.The genus Isocymatodera Hintz, 1902 (Cleridae, Tillinae) is included in the Philocalus group with four genera, Gastrocentrum Gorham, 1876, Diplocladus Fairmaire, 1885, Strotocera Schenkling, 1902, Philocalus Klug, 1842, and is mainly distinguished by bipectinate or serrate antennae from antennomere 3 (in males) and 4 (in females) onwards (Gerstmeier & Weiss, 2009). The genus Isocymatodera was erected by monotypy with Isocymatodera kolbei Hintz, 1902 as type species. The type species was subsequently redescribed including the synonymy of Tillus validus Schenkling, 1915 from Kenya and Zimbabwe (Gerstmeier, 1993) and recorded additionally from Botswana, South Africa, Tanzania and Zambia (Zappi, 2018). Strotocera atricolor Pic, 1935 was originally described from Indochina (Pic, 1935), and transferred to Isocymtodera by Gerstmeier & Weiss (2009). The two species of Isocymatodera has been disjunctively distributed in Africa and Asia since original description.
