Ultra HD TV & HDRTV

Media companies are overwhelmingly looking to launch Ultra HD TV services as the next stage of their technical development. Of respondents for whom the question is applicable, fully 31% say they already provide an Ultra HD TV service of some kind. A further 16% say they will launch a service this year, while 7% say they will launch next year. Of the remainder, some 28% of the total for whom the question is applicable say they will launch Ultra HDTV but have not yet set a deadline. Only 18% say they have no plans to offer Ultra HDTV, (fig.12).
