Cardiac arrest, in any setting, should be treated following current standardised guideline. The implementation of these guidelines, as well as the quality of the particular skills seem to be heterogeneous and demand continuous training for both laypeople and healthcare professionals. Chest compressions with feedback systems are increasingly being used not only in education, but also in the patient setting. Data was gathered by creating two equally distributed groups, each consisting of 21 subjects. In each team, CPR, compression and ventilation performance was assessed, followed by a third assessment, measuring individual performance with a focus on compressions and ventilation. In total, 19 skills were assessed and evaluated. Both groups completed regular resuscitation training, with the intervention group receiving additional training following the RQI-System prior to being assessed. In the classification of differential hypothesis, the measures in mean value were tested for significance by either t-test or by Whitney-U-test. In the first assessment, there was no evidence of significant difference inmean value. In the second and third assessments, the intervention group showed significantly improved skills around compression. Feedback systems used during training can improve resuscitation skills in comparison to conventional training.
